Is submitting to Justbe free?
Yes. Standard independent editorial consideration is free. Optional paid cover placements and priority review are available separately; all submissions remain subject to approval.
What does the $350 cover package include?
The $350 USD package includes the front cover, back cover and 4 interior spreads (8 pages), subject to editorial acceptance and final production arrangements.
How much is a front cover placement?
A front-cover-only placement costs $300 USD, subject to review and acceptance.
What is a priority submission?
Priority submission costs $20 USD and provides expedited editorial consideration. It does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
Are paid submission fees refundable?
Yes. If Justbe rejects a paid submission, the applicable fee is refunded in full. All prices are in USD.
Does payment guarantee publication or a cover?
No. All paid submissions are subject to approval. Placement and production details are confirmed only after acceptance.
Do paid submissions need to be exclusive and unpublished?
Yes. All editorial submissions, including paid options, must be unpublished and exclusive during the 30-day consideration period.
Can I submit previously published work?
No. All editorial submissions must be original and unpublished, including work previously shared publicly on social media.
How long is the exclusive review period?
30 days from receipt. During this period, do not submit the same work elsewhere. If no acceptance is received, you may request withdrawal after 30 days. Exclusivity ends when withdrawal is confirmed.
Does submitting guarantee publication?
No. All work is reviewed for editorial fit, originality and available space. Print placement is not guaranteed.
Do I keep my copyright?
Yes. Contributors retain copyright. Any publication licence and additional rights will be agreed before publication.
Can I share my work after Justbe publishes it?
Yes, on your own social media and portfolio, with clear credit to Justbe Magazine and a link to the original feature where links are supported. Republication by another magazine requires separate authorization under the agreed terms.
Can international contributors submit?
Yes. We welcome creative submissions from around the world.
Can I upload files instead of providing a portfolio link?
Yes. Yes. Upload your editorial files directly through the secure submission form. Portfolio links are optional.
What file formats can I submit?
The form accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, PDF and ZIP selections. Upload 1–3 files, up to 8 MB each and 20 MB combined.
How should I provide creative team credits?
Add a separate credit for each contributor, including their role and the name they want published. Social handles are optional. Please confirm spelling and obtain the required permissions before submitting.
Do I need to include a social media link?
No. Social media and portfolio links are optional.
